This year's exciting summer day camp for grades K-8 kicks off Monday morning, June 7, and continues through Thursday, June 10. Each day's fun will run from 9:30 AM until 3:30 PM. Kids will have a blast at a variety of activities, including crafts, a water park, theatrical presentations and field games. This year's camp theme is "Noah and the Kids Who Obey."
HOW MUCH DOES JUMP CAMP COST?The cost is $75 per child if you register by May 16, and $85 per child after May 16 until June 2. Walk-ins on the first day of camp will be charged $110. Extended care is also available. The cost for extended care for the entire week, which does not include the cost for camp, is $65. The daily rate for extended care is $25. HOW DO I REGISTER?There are three ways to register:
If you would like a registration packet to be sent to you, call the 24-hour JUMP information line (636.733.8694) and leave your name, address, and daytime telephone number along with the number of children you will be registering, and application materials will be mailed to you. Or, email jump@slfc.org and request a registration packet be mailed to you. The last day to pre-register is Wednesday, June 2. Walk-in registration will be available for $110 at the first day of camp, starting at 8:30 AM. THURSDAY IS "FRIENDS DAY"!On Thursday kids can bring one friend of the same age for $25. This year you can register online for Friends Day! Online registration for Bring a Friend Day starts on Monday, June 7, at 5:00 PM. Or pick up a registration form at the camp Volunteer Tent on Tuesday morning, June 8. FRIDAY IS FAMILY NIGHT!Friday evening, the whole family can enjoy Family Night at 7:30 PM in the Worship Center. After the production, the excitement continues at our special Party on the Patio. Stick around to enjoy music, food and lots of JUMP-related activities. (Minimal cost will apply to food and some activities.) WHERE CAN PARENTS GET DETAILS?After you register you can download a printable information sheet that will help you and your camper get ready for this year's JUMP Day Camp. WHAT IF I HAVE QUESTIONS?If you have questions, you may stop by the Information Center in the Lobby of the Worship Center after weekend services. ABOUT JUMPIt all began in the early '90s with Pastor Jeff Perry and Pastor Patsy Perry's vision, one hundred kids, and a Vacation Bible School called "Bible Breakout." In 2002, it became JUMP, and today it's a major regional event that hosts more than 2,000 kids from the St. Louis area and beyond. This four-day, fun-packed summer day camp, for grades K - 8, requires more than 700 trained volunteers to make it happen -- from planners, musicians, and script-writers to set-builders, craft workers, game supervisors, and more. Each year a new camp theme is selected based on a Bible story and character. Volunteers then write kid-friendly music and humorous Bible-based dramas to support the theme and help the kids apply the principles to everyday life. There's also lots of fun to be had outdoors -- like cooling off at the water park, burning energy in the field games, and getting creative in the giant crafts tent. |
